1.How did you develop your ideas for this project? 2. What inspired you to create this project? How did you feel about your final artwork? Why? I was inspired by the different pieces of art I saw while researching surrealism. I liked the way the art was, and I liked the way the art looked. I saw a lot of different styles to surrealism, and I liked how it was free minded and you could basically do anything. I feel good about my final artwork. I like the way it looked overall. I thought it showed what I wanted it to show. The nature feel and free minded feel of my artwork makes it easy to look at in my opinion. 3. How do you feel about selecting what you work on? Did you like having so much choice? Why or why not?
I like being able to select what I work on. I feel like being able to make art whatever way you want really brings out personality. I personally like being able to pick what I work on because it allows my brain to be free, and I can express myself. Therefore, I like being able to have choice because I feel like the artwork will come out better if the person isn't being told, step, by step what to do.

1. What is your artwork about? Summarize how you chose to interpret the theme of identity. Our artwork is about the effects of society on individuality. We chose to interpret the theme of identity by saying society effects different types of people in different ways. For example, certain people may get hurt depending on what society is doing, while other people may get stronger depending on society. Society is the control group, while everything around society is changing. Peoples identity is depedent on what society makes and thinks of them. Society can either make or break people. Thats what we wanted to show in our project. 2. How did you plan? Show images of each of the three planning activities you completed. Include captions for each photo. First- We came up with our question to base our thoughts of off. Our question was How society effects individuality. Second- We chose fruit to represent people. We had to decide what each fruit was going to represent which types of people. Third- We decided to take pictures and print them out to put on a black poster board. We then decided how we were going to arrange the photos. 3. How did you use media (art supplies), images and or text communicate (write about the identity project or your illustration)?. How effective is the work you produced?
We used image to communicate. We took a series of photos to communicate to others, how society effects individuality. The work we produced I feel looked really nice. I feel like the message we showed was amazing. Also, the black background made you focus on what was happening in the pictures, which i thought was cool. For my illustration, ii was happy with the outcome. I felt like it told the story of the song i chose. |
